Installation Procedure:

  1. Where to begin: Begin the layout of your new floor tiles, at the open end of the garage (where the car enters). If you are installing it in a room, start at the doorway to the room. Standing inside the garage (or room), one peg side of the tiles must face outward, towards the street (or door opening) and the other peg side to your right.
  2. Assembly: Working from right to left, align the male pegs so they snap into the female loops. Using your foot or a rubber mallet, tap the pegs down into the loops, so they lock into place. All tiles must have the female loops going in the same direction.
  3. Trimming Around Obstacles: When trimming tile around obstacles or along a wall, remember to allow for expansion and contraction of the floor tiles. To avoid buckling of the floor, during times of contraction or expansion, over trim the flooring by at least 1”.
  4. Disassembly: If a tile needs to be removed, insert a putty knife between the male and female lock. Tilt the putty knife away from the male peg so that the lip on the male peg, unlocks from the female loop. Follow this procedure around the perimeter of the tile(s) that need to be removed.

Cleaning Instructions:

  1. Clean Spills Immediately: It is important that spills are cleaned up soon as they occur. Petroleum based chemicals such as motor oil or gasoline can damage the tiles, if not cleaned up as they occur. General household cleaners made to “cut” grease work well.
  2. Periodic Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep the floor often to remove rocks and other debris that can scratch or damage the surface. Soaps, mild detergents and citrus cleaners can be used with a damp mop to clean the flooring.
